The Diamond Valley Pistol Club (DVPC) has been in existence since 1981 and currently has members ranging in age from their early teens to late seventies.

The club is affiliated with the Victorian Amateur Pistol Association (VAPA) which is affiliated with Pistol Australia, the governing body in Australia. There are 52 other pistol clubs throughout Victoria, associated with VAPA.

VAPA in turn is affiliated with the international shooting sport federation, known as ISSF, the world governing body for Olympic shooting.

DVPC forms part of the sporting facilities in the Yarrambat Park area, with competitions held mostly on Saturday and Sunday.

DVPC shoots Olympic type matches and its charter is to further the sport of pistol shooting and to enhance the recreational life of the members.

DVPC had a modest start in its history, shooting their indoor air pistol competition in the Greensborough Civic Centre for 3 to 4 years prior to moving to our present location.

The club has had 5 representatives at state level and 2 representatives at Australian level for Commonwealth and Olympic games.

Safety is paramount in this form of sport and new members undergo a thorough safety training course conducted by our own Victoria Police approved qualified Instructors.

Club members are actively encouraged to upgrade their range safety on a regular basis, with the Club also offering training in firearms safety awareness, in accordance with the requirements of the Firearms Act, to interested members of the public.

The club actively seeks new members on an ongoing basis, with competitions held within the club catering for males, females and junior shooters.

Due to security reasons you'll have to park at the parking area and take a short walk to the shooting range, please remember to check in at the club house first as access to the range is under supervision only.
